Cookies... Cookies... and more COOKIES!!!!

This year has brought me immense opportunities to bake for people.  Friends, family, colleagues, loved ones, charitable organizations and even some new friends.  Baking is something that I really enjoy.  My popular item this year has been my custom sugar cookies.  The cookies serve as favors, thank you gifts, birthday gifts, Valentine's Day gifts and the list goes on and on.

With all of my baking and business, I have neglected this blog, again.  I am going to work on being a better blogger and keeping up with sharing the stories behind the baked goods, with you all!  I have noticed the traffic on the blog has increased, so it is important to provide you with what you're looking for!

Here is a sampling of what has been in the oven!

As an alumnae member of Delta Gamma Fraternity, it was only fitting to make cookie favors for Founder's Day!

These cookies were made as a "Yay, you're married!" surprise for a friend who attended a wedding at Zion National Park in Utah.  The one cookie had the GPS coordinates on it!

My good friend gave her boyfriend a cookie from the Founders Day cookies (above) and he fell in love with the sugar cookies and asks about them frequently.  Well, as a nice surprise, she gave him a box of cookies!  Needless to say, he still asks for more!

One of my co-workers sweet daughter was welcomed into the church and for her special day, I made her some blessing gowns.  They turned out more perfectly than I thought that they could and my co-worker loved them!

Here are some more cookies that I made for a co-worker.  She is a special gal who brought smiles and kind words to us always!  I decided at the last minute to make her some panda cookies (panda bears are her favorite).

These gems are from Valentine's Day.  A friend sent me a picture and asked if I would be able to make her a set.  I took on the challenge and was able to wow her and she loved them!

At work, we had a new software update in January and with it came numerous rejections.  I decided for Valentine's Day to make us some "Rejection Conversation Hearts" and they were a huge hit!  I mixed them in with some chocolate chip cookies and everyone was happy and for once, the "rejections" were something that brought laughter and happiness to our office!

When there are extra cookies, I will play :)  I decided to try out a few new frosting techniques!

I will be back with  more samples of my work and as promised, work to keep you all on the inside loop of what's happening at In the Oven Bakery.

Thank you all for reading and following me!
